Weather forecasting is difficult and it has also become overtly political, with all weather events being attributed to climate change. We'd like to solicit an article on the state of the technology, along with commentary from a participant in the challenges in sticking to the science when the underlying issue has become a political football. 4. On May 18th, environmental groups in Switzerland are rebranding their usual March Against Monsanto to a March Against Bayer and Syngenta.
They say their program leaves "no room for racist, sexist and otherwise derogatory attitudes" but it will involve slandering and libeling the science community, not to mention hurting minorities who lack the wealth of the Swiss, and their work hurts farmers, who are overwhelmingly women in developing nations, so we are soliciting an article detailing the backgrounds of the participants, Drinking Water Initiative, Climate Alliance, Collective Climate Justice, Swiss Public Eye, et al., and their funding sources.
