Despite only launching WinkBall.com in August 2009 the website already employs 50 reporters. They're based in London but can be sent anywhere around the UK. There are 5 in the United States and the company's currently recruiting for more video reporters in Manchester and the West Midlands. If the public is interested then WinkBall will be at the event. Last year WinkBall reporters covered London's Notting Hill Carnival, filming over 200 hours of interactive footage to create a giant on line archive of Europe's biggest street party. They've also been to festivals and Premier League and Championship football matches. Winkball is the UK's fastest growing video communications website, and it hopes to shake up the dominance of traditional broadcasters with its own brand of citizen video.
