I love technology. Some people like it because it allows us to do incredibly complicated things that otherwise would not have been possible. I like it because it allows us to do incredibly normal things with almost no effort whatsoever.
On that note, I set out to try and create a Podcast, using as little effort as humanly possible. Most decent podcasters will plan out their show, invite guests, and basically treat it like a well structured radio show without specific advertisement breaks. They plan, record, edit, then post. While that works well for most folks, I'm already juggling approximately 37 balls that don't allow for more responsibility. That said, I was thinking to myself the other day that I REALLY wanted to have an outlet to just unload my analysis on without having to go to all the trouble of editing or planning. That's when it hit me. I have an iPhone.

I hate to sound like a Steve Jobs sycophant, and I truly do have some real problems with my current iPhone that's only about 18 months old. That said, it has this "Voice Memo" feature on it. While I was looking at a lawn recently, I felt the need to share my thoughts, so I clicked record and started talking. The inspiration struck. I recorded it. The next day I did some light reading on how podcasts are posted and voila, I'm officially a podcaster.

So far I'm having fun with the format and concept. Each podcast is a one-shot, unedited recording of me expressing my thoughts very quickly after having been inspired to express them. It's all recorded on my iPhone wherever I happen to be. It's a challenge to stay on message, especially since I've been known to wander so far off topic that I find myself sharing very weird information with the UPS guy, but there I go digressing again.

Anyway.... Go check it out. It's in iTunes. Just search "Bad Agronomy." Let me know what you think!
