KRASNOYARSK, Russia, October 20, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- PrInSys Lab is hosting the Production Scheduling Seminar 2010 which will bring together academic researchers, software developers and industries to discuss the most current trends and pressing issues in production planning and optimization. The seminar will be held on November 18, 2010 in University College Ghent, Belgium, and there is still time to register for the event.

The event will focus on the ways to facilitate and enhance production scheduling, with talks and presentations delivered by speakers from all over the world. Topics to be discussed include state of the art in production scheduling, static and dynamic scheduling, continuous and batch production, business cases, and more.

While modestly announced as a seminar, the event offers a range of activities worthy of a conference. Panel discussions will provide a chance to share the experience of efficient scheduling, get insight into the needs and problems of the industries in production planning, and learn about the newest developments in the field. In the exhibition area the participants will introduce (or find out about) scheduling and planning solutions. Coffee breaks and lunch will allow for networking and further discussion.

To register for the seminar you will need to fill out the form at http://webs.hogent.be/prinsys/registration.html. Registration fee is 100 EUR for a participant, members of AGORIA, MESA, academic staff and students being eligible for a 50% discount. The fee for an exhibition booth (including 1 participant) comprises 250 EUR. Further information on the Production Scheduling Seminar 2010 is available at the event page.
