GMO Foods

Since that day in 1998 when biochemist Árpád Pusztai claimed in an interview a rat had a damaged immune system because of eating a genetically modified potato, it has been a cultural controversy akin to climate change - except opposite sides use the precautionary principle for each.  The science community was critical because his speculation was not evidence-based while activists within the environmental community claim scientists are not worried enough about the implications of their work.

What's the truth?  What is the data?  Should philosophical concerns override the science ones?  We have the answers.
