Multiple studies have shown that to be transgender is not simply a matter of choice, or a sense of identity like religion. An aspect of a person which our laws rightly protect. Indeed, a sincerely held belief religious or not should be as protected as worship or speech in a free country. However, we live in a time of science and the science on transgender identity is clear. Being trans is in fact much more like being born with a certain skin, hair, or eye color than a choice or belief. In this brief report we will look at the results from published meta-analyses of the literature on the interaction between sex hormones and hormone receptor genes in transgender people. Most of the literature focuses on transgender women, as we are the most controversial.

According to the conspiracy theory all the authorities from Loudon County school the prosecutor and the police are so pro transgender that they would cover up a rape. Let me point out a few things that are inconsistent with this. Bear in mind I am not saying that no one was assaulted only that how this event is being used right now seems at odds with reality. Covering up a crime would cost a career, freedom, and lots of money in a lawsuit. Referring to the transgender girl / gender fluid male as just that would cost nothing. So they refer to the transgender girl as a boy and a male, no hint of respect for a gender identity but are so down for the transgender cause they'll cover up a rape?  That does not add up.

We launch space telescopes to gather data about the heavens not to serve as job programs or to honor members of the LGBT community. In an age of light pollution even from satellites like Space X ‘s Starlink space telescopes will be the next step. The spectrum that matters for the spectra that they will record. The name of the object is an irrelevancy the fact that it has been delayed, and cost overran again, and again, and again IS the problem. JWST has become the Super Conducting Super Collider of astronomy and astrophysics. Whatever needs to be done to get it ready to launch needs to get done and NASA needs to get it launched.

The name of a thing does not matter as much as what it will do.

News reports have thundered that we have detected dark energy, others have reported that we may have detected dark energy. The difference being that the reporters either read the title or they read the abstract which qualified the title. Odds are most reporters did not read the body as even a working physicist would have to study this paper for quite a while to understand all it says. Something which I may do since the work “Direct detection of dark energy: The XENON1T excess and future prospects” CITATION Vag21 \l 1033  (Vagnozzi, et al.

There is almost nothing that could make the Moon fall towards the Earth that wouldn’t disrupt the orbit of the Earth around the Sun as well as the other planets. However, there is no apparent violation of the laws of physics in this trailer. As surprising as that may sound physics allows for things far stranger than the Moon colliding with the Earth. The real question is what could put the Moon on a collision course with the Earth in such a short time frame that we would not see it coming for millions or billions of years in advance? Aliens of course. Which may violate the laws of biology if they are human looking which while not impossible is not probable.

Is what we are seeing in a science fiction TV show like Star Trek or a movie like Star Wars possible is the whole thing science fiction aka fictional science or is it a total fantasy that could never happen? The laws of physics and biology are the ones fantasy and fantasy within sci fi will most often break.  Fiction that tries to respect them is science fiction, fiction that does not is fantasy or perhaps science fantasy. There is an easy way to answer this and it comes by knowing just a few basic laws of physics.
