Summing Up
As you saw, most of these 5 good deals at Whole Foods are not items you buy a lot - bread is the only one that most consumers get weekly. 

However, yogurt is all the rage so it may be on your weekly list also. Bulk grains, spices and cakes are a lot less frequent so, as I said in the beginning, it may only make sense to buy those if you work at a Whole Foods or go there every 6 months or you go to the deli to get lunch (which is quite good).  

Overall, Whole Foods is not a great deal, though Whole Foods does not market itself as a value brand, they are selling a raft of health and ethical positions and that is worth a premium to its customers.  The Reddit post also has a lot more foods not to buy there, and where to find alternatives that may be near you (such as ALDI) where the deals on things like meat and eggs are better but still acceptable in quality to someone who works at a Whole Foods.
