Fog or Calligonum polygonoides has its deep roots which have high calorific value. In the extreme desert conditions it can grow very well. People have been removing this plant for its roots and soon it will come in capacity of endangered plants. Plant introduction into fresh environments should be done very carefully otherwise they will capture the entire habitat by their fast breeding habit and habitat will become unsuitable for survival of native plants.
