News - The Bridgewater Policy Controller 1000 and 3000 are carrier-grade, standards-based policy systems that intelligently manage network resources and subscriber access to applications in real-time. The new systems feature Bridgewater's Smart Caps(TM) fair usage bandwidth controls and certified transaction capacity that enable service providers to improve the subscriber experience as mobile data services grow. They are an evolution of Bridgewater's market leading Policy Controller product which is deployed in service provider networks around the world. - These systems revolutionize the way service providers predict, manage and deliver mobile data services by: - Optimizing mobile data network investments. Transaction-based systems lower operational costs by efficiently managing core and leased network capacity as well as radio access network congestion. - Applying Bridgewater's Smart Caps to ensure fair bandwidth usage. Smart Caps deliver a superior subscriber experience by applying precise controls that adjust bandwidth levels based on real-time factors such as the subscriber's bandwidth usage during a mobile data session, roaming status, and level of network congestion. - Personalizing service plans.
