ABUJA, Nigeria, March 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Kaztec Engineering Limited, an Abuja based engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commission (EPCIC) company and owners of Ekulo Cheyenne and Ekulo Tornado said that Ekulo Cheyenne is now at OML 123, Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria, and had commenced work for Addax Petroleum Development Nigeria Limited.
In a statement released in Abuja today, the Project Manager, Kaztec Engineering Limited, Rick Reggio said 'the 350 ft by 100 ft by 25 ft depth pipelay/ derrick and construction barge, Ekulo Cheyenne is expected to execute TB - 1921 Call-Off Contract for installation of subsea pipelines and topsides for Addax Petroleum Development Nigeria Limited. This installation-focused contract will enable the various facilities currently being designed and manufactured to be collected, shipped to site, craned into position and hooked up together with the laying of interconnecting pipelines and installation of associated riser systems'.
Expatiating on the project, David Jeeves, Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QAQC) Manager said, 'the project is designed to meet field development goals including 'flares down', wherein a new facility is planned to expand the existing Adanga complex, to provide gas compression and additional production separation capacity, with central power generation for the entire Adanga complex'
Reacting to questions on the deployment of Ekulo Cheyenne to OML 123, the Chairman of Kaztec Engineering Limited Sir Emeka Offor said that 'the acquisition of Ekulo Cheyenne is in line with the growth strategy of Kaztec Engineering Limited.
