LONDON, August 14 /PRNewswire/ -- ICIS Heren, a world-leading publisher of gas, power and carbon market information, is pleased to announce the expansion of our European Daily Carbon Markets (EDCM) report, which provides in-depth coverage of the European emissions market.
European Daily Carbon Markets provides a daily snapshot of the European emissions arena. The report contains over-the-counter (OTC) price assessments, carbon exchange data, clean dark and spark spreads and key news stories.
The publication focuses on the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS). The report also tracks Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Joint Implementation (JI) projects, looks at their impact on the EU ETS and aims to build a bridge between the EU ETS and the wider European energy markets.
From 18th August, EDCM will: - Be expanded from 1 page to 2 pages of emissions trading coverage with more news and data to truly reflect this fast-moving market. The report will continue to be published daily from Monday to Friday. - Feature an extended range of European Union Allowance (EUA) OTC contract price assessments with close-of-day bid-offer spreads for contacts with spot and yearly delivery until 2012. EUAs are issued by EU member states to installations participating in the EU ETS. - Introduce OTC Certified Emission Reduction (CER) price assessments with close-of-day bid-offer spreads for contracts with yearly delivery until 2012. CERs are issued by the UN-led Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) in return for emission reductions achieved by projects in developing countries under the Kyoto Protocol. Installations included in the EU ETS can use a certain quota of CERs order to comply with their own emission reductions targets. - Feature coverage of CER traded on the main emissions exchanges, including daily settlement prices from ECX, Nord Pool and BlueNext. - Feature an extended range of clean spark and dark spreads in the British and German markets. The British clean spark and dark spreads will cover the Day-ahead, front month and three front season contracts. The German clean spark and dark spreads will cover the Day-ahead, front month, front quarter and front year contracts.
"The new two-page lay-out will remain concise, while giving us the scope to include more stories directly impacting on European emissions trading and further market analysis," EDCM editor Isabel Save said.
The expanded report will now be available as a stand-alone subscription product, with certain data available via File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
