Konftel AB, Europe's leading manufacturer of conference phones, today announced that the Konftel 300IP, their first SIP based conference phone, is compliant with Avaya Communication Manager 5.1 and SIP Enablement Services 5.0 solutions from Avaya, a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.
The Konftel 300IP helps businesses to have cost and time effective phone meetings with wideband sound quality together with innovative features such as call recording on SD memory card. Really large meeting rooms are not a problem for the Konftel 300IP since it can be expanded with microphones, a wireless headset or connected to a PA system. Other unique features include 5-way calling, and the web based configuration of contacts and settings means that the telephone is easy to operate. The ability to export and import settings and contacts to the phone book streamlines the installation.
Surveys indicate that there is an increase in the number of teleconferences because of the time-saving, economic and environmental benefits they offer. An increasing number of companies are replacing their legacy PBX with IP telephony in order to save money and be able to coordinate communication. The Konftel 300IP is based on SIP (RFC 3261) and is compatible with most of the market's SIP platforms. In order to simplify connection, the Konftel 300IP also supports Power over Ethernet.
