- 1st - 7th January 2009 Sees 25% Increase in Figures From Last Year!

MYA looked at figures from the 1st - 7th January 2009 and compared them to the previous year. These figures support statements made last year from various companies in the industry that the current economic situation is having little or no impact in the demand for information, consultations made and cosmetic surgery procedures booked. In further support of this MYA also reports an increase in booked surgery in December 2008 compared to December 2007.

MYA Cosmetic Surgery have found that during these tough times they have not seen a fall in demand for its services instead they have experienced steady growth both with enquiries and booked surgery helping support their leading patient service and care approach.

January is always a busy time for the cosmetic surgery industry states John Ryan, MYA Chairman and previous owner of cosmetic surgery provider Transform. After the Christmas and New Year period people often start setting new goals or New Year's resolutions. These goals often include improving ones appearance or completing a goal they never achieved last year. We get a lot of people coming in saying that they have been interested for a while but have never got round to making an appointment!

So far this year the most interest in cosmetic surgery has come from the London region closely followed by Manchester and Birmingham.
