AUSTIN, Texas, March 3 /PRNewswire/ --
- Adds Resources for New Users, Offers Commission-based Affiliate Program
REAL Software, creator of REALbasic, a cross-platform development tool for creating software for Mac, Windows and Linux, is now shipping REALbasic 2009 Release 1. The first release of 2009 continues to focus on product quality and reliability, while introducing 27 new features and 100 improvements. This release includes a new Quickstart window that helps new users get started developing software in REALbasic.
With our focus on quality, our users are seeing the benefits of having a better tool. Some of our users who switched to REALbasic from Java or C++ say they can develop software four times faster in REALbasic than any other development tool, commented Geoff Perlman, Founder and CEO of REAL Software. Also, with the increasing market share of Mac and Linux, they are platforms developers can no longer ignore. Since REALbasic is cross-platform, developers can create a Mac, Windows and Linux version of their app from one platform, thus broadening their market. With the shape of today's economy, REALbasic can help developers earn more money by getting their application to market faster and expanding their reach.
REAL Software recently launched a new Affiliate Program where developers, and those with a web presence, can help promote REALbasic 2009 Release 1. The Affiliate Program allows affiliates to advertise REALbasic on their own websites, and REAL Software will pay a commission to the affiliate for each new license sale they generate. The complete list of improvements and new features in REALbasic 2009 Release 1 can be found in the release notes in the product download section, http://www.realsoftware.com/download. REALbasic is available in a free 30-day trial edition.
