LEEDS, England, May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Teva UK Limited has welcomed the election of Kim Innes, Director of the company's generics business, as Chairman of the British Generic Manufacturers Association (BGMA) for a two-year term. During her spell in office, she will divide her time between Association duties and her role as Director, Teva Generics. John Beighton, Managing Director of Teva UK Limited, said he was delighted on both a personal and company level at Kim's election: "Kim is an outstanding personality in the generics world and I'm delighted that she has been elected to lead our industry. Her vision, energy and knowledge of the industry will stand her in good stead, and I'm confident she will be an effective and vocal ambassador for the Association's members on behalf of the generics industry and its customers."
Kim has worked in the generics industry since 1991 and was appointed to head Teva's generics business unit in the UK in 2006.
