With these widgets, users will embark their preferred Internet services in their car or onto their PND, using an interface adapted to the ergonomics of embedded screens: weather forecast, news (complete RSS reader), emails, Location-Based guides, photos stored on online services, social networks and other services to be created as a widget. Although devices are increasingly convergent, PNDs' user interfaces become even more complicated. Therefore Webwag designed a simple and user-friendly solution to access the Internet, which is the most advanced in the market and the most suited offer to the automotive industry and PNDs.
The safety of users is key
Not being distracted by the Internet while driving was a concern for Webwag when they designed the widgets platform. The safety took an important part in the development process. Thus, the Webwag's widget engine is continuously connected to the vehicle's position and speed data. The widgets are accordingly and instantly changed to synthesize information, display it larger or simply turn it off.
The simplicity of widgets is perfectly suited to the constraints of PNDs and cars. With this offer, Webwag is pursuing its convergent strategy in Internet services by making them accessible on new connected mobile screens. declared Florent Pitoun, CEO and co-founder of Webwag.
