LONDON, October 28 /PRNewswire/ --
Three-phased software implementation project will build on current Microsoft-technology infrastructure to realise state-of-the-art budgeting, planning and external reporting applications
Clarity Systems, a leader in corporate performance management (CPM) and external reporting solutions, today announced that Young and Co.'s Brewery, P.L.C., will be implementing the Clarity 6(TM) and Clarity FSR(TM) applications, to improve operational efficiencies and reduce reporting risks.
Since our firm was founded in 1831, we have prospered by providing first- class customer service across our chain of managed pubs, tenanted pubs and hotels in London and southern England, said Peter Whitehead, Financial Director at Young's. Today this requires using leading technology to budget and plan for market trends and customer desires ahead of our competitors. The Clarity solution will help us improve this focus in short order, which is one of the key reasons we signed on.
We already had a good Microsoft infrastructure in place and wanted to take full advantage of this and the skills we have in-house, rather than purchase expensive, cumbersome and separate tools, said Torquil Sligo-Young, Human Information Resources Director, Young's. Clarity takes full advantage of the native Microsoft technology, fully integrating with and leveraging our existing MS SQL Server and Microsoft Analysis Services cubes. Put simply, Clarity delivers a rich application layer on top of our Microsoft infrastructure, building on it rather than replacing it, to drive efficiencies and reduce our risks.
Young's was attracted to the comprehensive application functionality and intuitive user interface of the system. Based on feedback from other customers, this will ensure good user adoption and quick time to value. The fact that Clarity provides a single, unified solution that leverages existing systems and can be built out in phases was also seen as a huge advantage.
The robust Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting Reporting capabilities within Clarity will significantly automate, enhance and streamline our existing processes. We are excited about the greater accuracy and insight that the system will deliver to manage the performance of our business both now and successfully into the future, said Martin Wastie, Financial Controller, Young's. And we wanted to implement top-down and bottom-up planning and weekly cash flow forecasting, added Wastie.
