About Lauren A globetrotting science writer interested in the coolest things you've never heard of. I have a B.S. in Physics from Syracuse University and an M.S. in Science and Medical Journalism from Boston University. My writing can be found in SLAC Today, symmetry, Technology Review, Photonics Spectra and Biophotonics International, covering topics that include nanotechnology, energy and physics. Although science writing is a relatively new venture for me, I'm no stranger to the publishing industry. My name first appeared in print at age 7, at 10 I published an original poetry book, A Piece of Mind, and had a fiction piece published in The Catholic Observer at 13.
