About Serena Bachelor of Science in Genetics, University of California ,Davis (2004-2008) Ph.D graduate student in Molecular and Mechanistic Biology, University of California, Irvine (2008-present) I am currently working on understanding the fundamental mechanism of the deceivingly simple polyadenylation reaction that crosstalks with many other gene regulation pathways including transcription, splicing and translation. I love reading science articles that encompass science and a non-conventional topic such as religion or sex orientation. Example would be an article about if certain people are prone to being more religious than others based on their DNA sequence.
