When the Batphone rang in my office late Wednesday, I knew it had to be important, like someone being wrong on the Internet, because, really, no one calls me.  It helps that I never call anyone back(1).

It turned out to instead be everyone's favorite math geek, Garth Sundem.   He got an impromptu gig on a Sacramento morning show so he was driving up I-5 and wanted to know if Bloggy would be available to break some bread.   I could come along too, he said.

So break bread we did.  Garth is just as engaging and personable over a Fat Tire as he is on TV.

But we weren't there just to talk about beer and candy, we also wanted to discuss some Science 2.0.  And so we did.   More on a neat development there in a day or two.     We got a chance to talk about the last 4 years (yes, he was among the handful of people who signed up for this in 2006 when it was just a concept and didn't even have a mock up - that's bold instinct, people) and the next 4 as well.

First, want to see "Brain Candy" in action?  Take a look at this clip below:

Since Becky and I were discussing starting a Science 2.0 book-sharing forum he also signed the copy of "Brain Candy" I am sending her way.   Pretty gracious since I, errrr, cost him a sale by sharing it.

More about the rest of our plans in a future post but here is a pic with Bloggy.

We could be twins, except he is younger and prettier and smarter.

We had lunch at the Delta King on the riverfront in Sacramento.   The food was pretty darn good.
