PITTSBURGH, January 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Johan Hallen has been appointed vice president of Nordic Operations for Westinghouse Electric Company's Nuclear Services business. In this role, Mr. Hallen is responsible for managing the company's nuclear service projects and operations in the Nordic Region. He will continue to serve in the dual role of managing director for Westinghouse Electric Sweden, AB. Mr. Hallen is based in Vasteras, Sweden.
Most recently, Mr. Hallen was Nordic regional vice president within the company's Customer Relations and Sales organization. In that role he maintained and developed Nordic region executive customer relationships, identified growth opportunities and provided oversight for Westinghouse customers in Finland and Sweden.
Mr. Hallen has held management positions of increasing responsibility within Westinghouse and ABB, whose nuclear businesses were integrated into Westinghouse in 2000. Prior Westinghouse roles have included director of Nuclear Services, Sweden, and director of Nuclear Automation European Operations.
Mr. Hallen holds a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. Additionally, he is a certified Westinghouse Customer 1st leader (CFL). Customer 1st is the Westinghouse continuous improvement initiative that employs such tools as Six Sigma, Human Performance, Lean Enterprise and Behavioral Differentiation.
