HOOFDDORP, The Netherlands, February 16 /PRNewswire/ --
- Long Expected Software Program Benzoy Launched in Holland
Newly developed Dutch software allows parents and children to use the Internet in a safer way in the future. Due to the long-awaited program Benzoy, launched by the Dutch company Unicaresoft, violence, drugs, porn, gambling or certain shops are filtered out, parents and children can stipulate time, duration and type of Internet activity and agree on the way of checking. Thus, the company achieves a much desired breakthrough in secure Internet.
A recent survey of specialized market research institute Qrius, shows that 20 percent of primary school children have endured harassing or annoying experiences on the Internet as bullying, scary games and websites or porn. In contrast to what parents think, only 35 percent of the children tells their mum or dad. Following these developments the European Committee signed an agreement with seventeen European media companies in order to take measures to protect children on the web, last week on the international Day of Safe Internet. In fact, we provide the solution they seek, states CEO G. Ghazarian of Unicaresoft. According to him, many parents face inexperience with computers and need help in educating their children on the Internet. Our mission is to find a solution for the vulnerable groups on the Internet and we are focussing on children.
The release of Benzoy was cancelled last year due to the lawsuit Microsoft won about the use of the name MSNLOCK. This case attracted worldwide publicity, after which parents from all over the world contacted Unicaresoft to support the program and to volunteer for a test panel. This allowed Unicaresoft to adjust the program to their needs and wishes. They overwhelmed us with their advice. We have launched Benzoy only after they gave us the green light that it was working properly.
What makes the program unique is the patented filter which uses the same technique known from Google. It provides an up-to-date black and white list of websites and makes filtered websites invisible for kids.
