Cyberstalking as a way of trying to bully someone into giving them what they want on line.  A certain website was set up just to slander me by The  Organisation Intersex International  OII.    Now one Katrina C Rose a Phd candidate in history at U Iowa has gotten into the act. I have responded to OII's inane comments before.  Now evidence emerges that people are keeping tabs on what I do online.  That's something else entirely. 
 
This crosses every legal definition of cyberstalking.  In Illinois law it is known as as "Harassment through electronic communications."  

Harassment through electronic communications is the use of electronic communication for any of the following purposes: (1) Making any comment, request, suggestion or proposal which is obscene with an intent to offend

In plain language according to wisegeek basic cyberstalking is.

an individual or group through electronic means, particularly the Internet. Cyberstalkers employ the communication capabilities and access to information made available by the Internet to monitor, solicit, slander, and otherwise harass their cyber victim, who may be an individual or group.

What they did was set up a website purporting to investigate me and "expose me" etc etc.  I just laughed it off.  Now since it seems that some people are keeping tabs on me according to this blog posting.  That is beyond simply setting up a website, that is now to the area where I need to think about legal actions civil or criminal.  



What they are doing is classic cyberstalking.  Again according to Wisegeek.

 Cyberstalkers will often set up websites or blogs specifically to post slanderous information about their victim, which may then be picked up in a simple search engine query of the victim’s name, thereby damaging their reputation. Cyberstalkers may also pose as the victim online to distribute pornographic, derogatory, or otherwise defamatory information under the victim’s name.

That describes what OII  has done to a T.  They set up a website and tried to slander me.  They do this knowing that some people will judge based on negative information found in a simple name search. Their attempt was so over the top absurd that no one takes it seriously in the least.   I have not been prevented from advancing in my career, or doing anything else because of that website (At least as far as I could know).  

Tracking me online the next level. 


 Now I get word that these people are tracking my online activities.   Saying they are putting me on notice.   Writing that they have been alerted to what I do on line.  That these things are public information in a sense one could say no big deal.  That there is a network of these people emailing or otherwise notifying eachother of my movements is something else something very creepy. 


Unless the person in question really is who I thought they were  and they were on line trying to act like they were not who they said they were there is no other explanation.   If this is not cyberstalking why not just send an email to my well known and/or easily findable address? (all the spammers find it easily enough)  If this person wants to inform me that they are not who they I thought they were there are civil and reasonable ways to do that.  
 

The answer is because the person who wrote that blog one Katrina C. Rose and linked to that website has  a malevolent intent.  She wants to slander me and bully me into doing what she wants.   She wants to be able to take pot shots from behind a cloak of invisibility.  Basically her and whoever that anonymous person are just want to  bully me. All the while people who have drank their Kool-Aid will believe what ever the heck they read on the internet.  


I will not be bullied.  I have decided that I am going to just take a couple weeks off, let them do what they want, then go back after them an if they don't have a real consensus revert what they do.  These people are not interested in cooperation, compromise, or consensus building.  They are interested in dominating and getting their way in a very manly fashion.  Well my mother didn't raise no shrinking violets!  I'll let them have their "victory" which is all their testosterone driven brain matter is able to focus on.  Then I will just undo whatever damage they do.


I have put the world on notice of what Katrina C Rose or perhaps a student under her control are a part of.  I have put the world on notice of what OII and the websites that convey their nonsense  are a part of.  Cyberstalking by a bunch of predatory and threatening individuals. 


If you are a member of OII and that offends you I suggest you question the people you give money to to run that organization about why they are spending their time and your money to harass me in your name.
