Recently I had a chance to visit the grave of my departed Professor Dr Karl-Hermann Neumann with his son Mr Rolf Neumann in Giessen Germany. Professor Dr Neumann worked with Professor F. C. Steward
FRS of Cornell Univessity who trained botanists of his times like Professor H. Y Mohan Ram and Professor B M Johari from India and other parts of the world in fifties and sixties.
However I was happy to listen from his son Mr Rolf Neumann that during last 15 days of his death he has developed in interest in the topic what provides colours to the flowers ? Since then I have been thinking on this topic but its too difficult to comprehend how nature regulates the flower colours and shades even on the same petal? It would be good to know how does it provide red, white, yellow purple orange and almost all the colours to the same species and to the different species roses and tulips. Although I have no idea but would be interested to hear from some people working in this area and would like to compile the same through this stie.
Among all the topics on which Professor Dr Neumann on which he worked throughout his life he has compiled in the book on plant tissue culture.
"The book will prove useful to both newcomers and specialists, and even "old hands"
in tissue culture should find some challenging ideas to think about. ... more on http://springer.com/978-3-540-93882-8"
